One of the games that came out for the PlayStation 2 was called Fantavision. The game was added to the PlayStation 4 library with up-rendering and trophy support. Back in 2021, there was one Tweet from @ThePSrahs that went out asking what was the first game you think of when you see the screen. In reply, Shuhei Yoshida responded with FANTAVISION. I then mentioned FantaVision VR in hopes that the game would come to PlayStation VR2.

Then it happened, one of the launch games for PlayStation VR2 was, in fact, Fantavision 202X. Now, it looks like there is going to be a limited physical release in both the European (Deluxe Edition) and North American (Standard) regions.

For those in Europe, the Deluxe Edition will contain the following:

  • A copy of the game
  • Wraparound box sleeve
  • PlayStation 2™-inspired reversible cover
  • Double-sided poster (with one side inspired by the Japanese PS2 version’s manual)

But the Deluxe and Standard Editions are going to be available to only 2,000 each.

If you are looking to add to your physical collection, you can do so by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition now. The Standard Edition will be available for pre-order in late Q3 of 2023.
